These 3 book series are three of the ones I remember reading from my childhood. As I look back, I realize that I probably shouldn’t have been reading these books. I got them for my mother, however, so if she didn’t have a problem with it, then….
- Mortal of Instruments by Cassandra Clare
- The House of Night by Kristin Cast & P.C Cast
- Maximum Ride by James Peterson
It’s been a little while since I’ve read any of these books, and I don’t believe I finished the series of any of them. That being said, I’m going to look through my moms things, and see if I can find the books. I want to see if they’re as good as I remember, or my opinion has changed.
Mortal of Instruments Series
Mortal of Instruments is a series of young adult fantasy novels. It follows a girl named Clarissa Flay as she meet a group called ‘Shadow Hunters’. They protect the world from the darkness that lurks around the world. It’s definitely for those who love reading fantasy novels. I’ve read four out of six books, and I plan to go back through and have a reread.
The House of Night Series
The House of Night series follows a girl named Zoey Redbird who becomes a fledging. A fledging being a new vampire, or along those lines. It’s set in Tulsa Oklahoma, and I used to love these books. It’s for young adults who like vampire-themed fantasies. However, there is a particular scene in the book, where two people with major age difference mess around? I don’t remember the specifics, but that’s a trigger warning for whoever decides to try it out. I particularly don’t know if I want to continue reading these books, one reason being that.
Maximum Ride Series
Maximum Ride series are novels about human avian hybrids born with wings after being tested on. It follows Max Ride and her family and as they go through many adventures. I remember almost nothing about these books, other than they had wings. I plan to actually reread these books, because I feel like I’ve only read the first one.
Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better. DO BETTER.Maya Angelou
These three recommendations are for anyone who like fantasy novels. I happened to like fantasy a lot, along with horror and romance. If you’re interested in reading these series, let me know in the comments. Also, if you plan to write a review, let me know because I would love to read what you guys think.
Have you already read these books? How did you feel about them? I have mixed feelings for them all, which is why I should do a reread to get my thoughts together.
