BOOK REVIEW: Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey Mcquiston

This book follows the Prince of Wales and First Son of the United States, Alex Claremont-Diaz, whose mother is running for her second term as president. The two boys have been rivals for years when it finally got too much and it forced them to become friends. Romance blooms.

This book was EVERYTHING! I loved it from start to finish, and it only took me about 2½ days to finish it. I loved the way Casey McQuiston wrote her characters, and she has an amazing writing style. This book was charming and funny, and I smiled throughout the entire book. I loved the chemistry the character showed, and when I finished it, I was happy. I’d definitely read this book again.

I’m in the same age group as these characters in the books, and I know how it feels to be pressured. I can only imagine how it feels when you’re a public figure. This novel gave me hope and filled me with high spirits in finding someone I love and loved me in return. There are so many beautiful aspects to this story, and I recommend this to everyone. Especially if you enjoy YA books and contemporary romance novels.

One quote from this novel I love is:

History, huh? Bet we could make some.

Red, White, And, Royal Blue. Chapter 9, Page 241.

I won’t spoil the book, but that line made me tear up. It was such a cute moment, a happy sigh moment, and I wish I go back to when I first read it.

I have no complaints for this book. I genuinely enjoyed this entire book. The pacing was amazing, the dialogue was great, and it had the right amount of romance and humor. I can’t wait to read more books from this Author!

Rating: ★★★★★

If this was to become a movie, would you watch it? I would watch it, I just hope they don’t ruin it, and the acting is great, and so is the actor’s choice.
