Do you have that one book or books that you were so hyped to read, but when did you were a little disappointed? The Novel Bunny by Mona Awad was that book for me.
Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a good day, as I type this I am doing good, but a little slumped with assignments. I made a post about this on my Bookstagram the other day and wanted to make a blog post about it, for the ones who do not follow me there. If you do not follow me, then follow me, and also check out my Amazon Wishlist if you like my content.
Anyway, lets get to the book of the day!
I love reading horror books, and I was excited to read this book. I didn’t really understand it from a reader POV. There were moments that I truly enjoyed, and the story kept me invested throughout the entire book. However, I cannot tell you what was going on in the story, and it was so confusing so I didn’t love it. It’s not an awful story and the writing style is nice,, I just was frustrating after reading it. The ending threw me for a loop, and I still have so many questions.
- How was this possible?
- What was the sand/mud comment at the end about?
- Was this all in her head?
- Did she have witch powers?
Those are just a few questions I have because I deem them the most important. If the goal was to leave the reader confused and asking questions, then Mona Awad did an excellent job at that. I rated this book a 3/5 because even though it confused me; it was entertaining.
Have you ever read this book? What did you think about it? If you know what it was about, please talk to me about it in the comments.
