28-year-old Grace Porter graduates with her PhD in astronomy. She set a plan like her stern father ‘Colonel’ wanted and stuck to it. But to treat herself and celebrate her graduation, she and her friends take a trip to Vegas. There she gets drunk and wakes up married to a woman she barely remembers. This one moment has her looking at things different and she’s wondering should she continue to stay with the plan her father set.
This was such a satisfying read. It took me a minute to finish it because I went through a reading slump. However, when I finally picked this book back up, I truly loved it. This is not a romance novel, yes romance is involved in it, but this is about a woman, Grace Porter, finding herself.
I connected with the characters in this book for different reasons and I truly believe more people should read it. So many times, people think that you’re supposed to have your life figured out as early as 21, but people of all ages struggle and that’s okay. I recommend this book for everyone to read. You will not regret it.
